CHECK that ALL ingredients bear the Fish-Free label Soak and cook the chickpeas until very tender (or use canned chickpea) Cut the cherry tomato into regular 1.5 cm cubes Cook the rice flakes in a little water (3 min) Cut the fig into small cubes (remove skin if thick) Wash and finely chop the chives Take all ingredients out 20 min before (room temperature) Cutting board Paring knife Kitchen scale Mixing bowl Steamer pot Do NOT buy a product without reading the label Do not cut too large: choking hazard Do not leave tough chickpea skins Do not leave fig skin too thick Do not add salt: baby's immature kidneys ⚠️ NEVER serve a product that may contain hidden fish Cut ALL pieces the same size for even cooking For 12-18 months: thinner pieces (1 cm) Test cooking with a fork: chickpeas should be melting-tender KEEP PACKAGING of sensitive products to prove fish-free Check LABELS even for 'obvious' products (e.g. rice flake mixes sometimes contain fish derivatives) Take out 30 min before for better incorporation 2
Mash the cooked chickpeas in a large bowl Add the cherry tomato mashed into a smooth purée Fold in the cooked rice flakes and diced fig Add the binder (egg) Pour in the olive oil and half of the chives Mix with a wooden spoon Adjust the texture (rice flakes if too sticky) Shape the tartelettes with oiled hands Place in tartelette molds 3
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan Lightly oil the tartelette molds Arrange the tartelettes leaving 2 cm between each Bake in the middle of the oven for 16 min Check cooking halfway through Remove when tartelettes are golden Let cool 3-4 min Test the temp with a finger: warm Serve immediately 4
Prepare a fresh fig cube garnish Arrange the warm tartelettes on baby's plate Add small fig pieces around Show how to pick up the tartelettes Serve warm Watch baby during the meal Monitor allergy signs (rash, swelling) Put leftovers in the fridge Baby plate Small bowl + suction cup Large bowl

Silicone tartelette molds
Do not overmix: elastic dough Do not add too much flake: shapes become too dense Do not forget to shape tightly: otherwise it crumbles Do not make tartelettes too big: max 5 cm diameter Do not leave air in the dough ⚠️ Check that utensils have not been in contact with fish If the dough is too sticky: add 1 tsp rice flakes If too dry: add 1 tsp liquid (water or adapted milk) Shape with damp hands: the shapes won't stick Use silicone tartelette molds for easy removal Vary sizes according to age For 24-36 months: bigger tartelettes Tartelette molds

Timer
Do not forget to preheat Do not overcrowd the molds Do not open the oven in the first 8 min Do not overcook: becomes hard and dry Do not use too high heat Do not unmould too hot: burns Check cooking: fork comes out clean For 12-18 months: more moist cooking For 24-36 months: more golden cooking If browning too fast: lower to 160°C Test with a toothpick: should come out clean Remove when shapes come off easily Spoon

Do not serve burning hot Always peel the fig if skin is too thick Do not leave baby alone Do not put too many fig pieces Do not reheat several times ⚠️ NEVER add an ingredient with hidden fish Serve warm: flavors are more developed Fig adds natural sweetness and fiber For 12-18 months: cut tartelettes in wedges Silicone bowl with suction cup Offer 2-3 different sides Keep phone nearby in case of allergic reaction
